Passive এর ক্ষেত্রে সব সময় 'by' বসে না, বরং 'by' এর পরিবর্তে অন্যান্য Preposition যেমনঃ To, at, with, in ইত্যাদি বসতে পারে। Annoy, charm, displease, dissatisfy, marvel, please, shock, stun, surprise, vex ইত্যাদি Verb এর Past participle এরপরে ব্যক্তি (Person) থাকলে 'with' বসে এবং আচরণ (Conduct, behaviour), কর্ম (work), গুণ (Beauty) বা কোনো বিষয়, ঘটনা থাকলে 'at' বসে।
তবে, প্রশ্নপত্রে 'at' না থাকলে 'with' নিতে হবে।
Active: He annoyed me.
Passive: I was annoyed with him.
বাক্যের অর্থঃ খবরটি শুনে তিনি মর্মাহত হয়েছিলেন।
2. Passive Voice( কর্মবাচ্য ): কোন Sentence এ যদি Subject কে দিয়ে কোন কাজ করানো হয় বুঝায় তখন তাকে Passive Voice বলে ।
যেমন :
Rice Is eaten by me.
A letter is written by him.
A book is read by Fateha.
Football is being played by us.
