Geoffrey Chaucer's The House of Fame (Hous of Fame in the original spelling) is a Middle English poem composed between 1374 and 1385, making it one of his early works.
He was a poet, author, and government servant best remembered for his work The Canterbury Tales. He has been referred to as the "Father of English Literature" or the "Father of English Poetry". He was the first writer to be buried in what is now known as Poets' Corner in Westminster Abbey.
