In his youth/During his youth, he joined the French army as an ordinary soldier.
Fighting several wars with the neighbouring countries, he won victory over them.
He was not cowardly/timid/fearful at all.
Didn't this courage help him secure the highest position?
When/As he grew very powerful, he soon became the greatest man of the country,
It was in 1804 when he proclaimed himself the emperor.
How powerful France was under him!
It was 1821 and he died in that year.
Won't he be remembered forever?
