Jasimuddin is better known to us as Pollikobi. He was born in Faridpur. He took his early education at Faridpur Welfare School and gradually took his BA and MA from the University of Calcutta. He was a lecturer of Dhaka University and he worked in the Department of Information and Broadcasting. He composed many poems, dramas, novels and music. He died in 1976.
