The plan of Suraiya Begum is to build an old people's home in her locality and there the old and lonely people will stay together.

As Suraiya Begum is a retired school teacher, she has a lot of free time. She usually reads books, watches TV, visits friends and relatives, and sometimes writes letters to her old colleagues in her free time.

Suraiya Begum is aunt, her father's sister, to Mariam.

Mariam has a very friendly relationship with the old men and women who love her very much. She shares her story about school and friends, studies, families etc. with them. They also tell her funny stories fairy tales and ghost stories.
