A School Library

A school library is a place where collections of books are kept for the students to read or borrow. A school library is an important part of a school. Renowned schools have a separate building for the library. Generally a library is situated on the top floor of the school building. It is large and spacious. There are a number of bookshelves, chairs, and broad tables. There are separate shelves for books on separate subjects like history, geography, Bangla and English literature, Philosophy, Economics, Science, Religion etc. Books are arranged on the shelves according to the catalog. There is a librarian who helps the students find out books according to their need. Students go to the libraty to read and learn details about any subject. They can collect books from the library to take home and keep with them for a certain period. The library should have a very silent, neat and clean and congenial atmosphere to read attentively. At a corner of the library there are daily newspapers, national and international journals. Thus it helps the students to grow up intellectually.
