      এখানে "he must return the goods" একটি Independent Clause। "pay the bill" অংশটি আসলে একটি Elliptical Clause, যার পূর্ণরূপ "he must pay the bill" বা "he should pay the bill" - এটিও একটি Independent Clause। বাক্য দুটি 'or' (একটি Coordinating Conjunction) দ্বারা যুক্ত হয়েছে। এটি একটি যৌগিক বাক্য (Compound Sentence)।
