Indefinite Numeral Adjective: All, some, many, enough, several, few adjective যখন noun-এর নির্দিষ্ট কোনো সংখ্যা প্রকাশ করে না তখন তাদেরকে Indefinite Numeral Adjective বলে।

For example: He is a man of few words.

Indefinite Numeral Adjective হলো সেইসব শব্দ যা কোনো Noun-এর সংখ্যা নির্দেশ করে, কিন্তু সেই সংখ্যাটি নির্দিষ্ট নয়। অর্থাৎ, এটি দিয়ে কতগুলো ব্যক্তি বা বস্তু আছে তার একটি সাধারণ ধারণা পাওয়া যায়, কিন্তু নিখুঁত কোনো সংখ্যা (যেমন: এক, দুই বা দশ) জানা যায় না।

১. মূল বৈশিষ্ট্যসমূহ:

• এটি Countable Noun (যা গণনা করা যায়)-এর সাথে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• এটি কোনো কিছুর অনির্দিষ্ট সংখ্যা নির্দেশ করে।

• এটি সাধারণত 'কতগুলো' (How many) প্রশ্নের উত্তরে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

৪. Indefinite Numeral Adjective বনাম Adjective of Quantity:

এই দুটি প্রকারের মধ্যে অনেক শব্দ একই রকম (যেমন: Some, All, Any, Enough)। এদের পার্থক্য বোঝার উপায় হলো এদের পরের Noun-টি খেয়াল করা:

• Few: নেই বললেই চলে (Negative অর্থ প্রকাশ করে)।

• A few: অল্প কিছু (Positive অর্থ প্রকাশ করে)।

• The few: অল্প যা আছে তার সবটুকুই।
