Given,
SP of 8 shirts = CP of 10 shirts
⇒ SP > CP
Gain = SP - CP = 10 − 8 = 2
Gain% = Gain ÷ CP × 100
= 2 ÷ 8 × 100
= 25%
Or,
Let,
CP of 1 shirt is Tk.1
CP of 10 shirts is Tk.10
As per Qsn, CP of 10 shirts = SP of 8 shirts
SP of 8 shirts = Tk.10
SP of 1 shirt = 10/8 = 5/4
So, profit = SP – CP
= 5/4 – 1
= 1/4
Profit % = ¼ × 100
=25%.

SP of 8 shirts = 10x
SP of 1 shirt = 10x/8
Profit = SP - CP
= (10x/8) - x
= 2x/8
The profit margin = (Profit/ CP) *100
= {(2x/8)/x}*100
= 25%
