Redundancy হচ্ছে কোনো Sentence-এ একই অর্থসম্পন্ন একাধিক Word-এর পুনরাবৃত্তি। বাংলাতে এটাকে 'বাহুল্য দোষ' বলে। Sentence গঠনের জন্য এটি একটি অপ্রয়োজনীয় অংশ বলে এটাকে বাদ দিতে হয়। সাধারণত Noun, Pronoun, Verb, Adjective, Preposition বা কোনো Phrase-এর Redundancy হয়ে থাকে।
যেসব Word বা Phrase-এর Redundancy হয়ে থাকে তাদের একটি তালিকা দেয়া হলো:
