Conjunctional Phrase
কোনো শব্দগুচ্ছ যদি একটিমাত্র Conjunction-এর মতো কাজ করে তাহলে তাকে Conjunctional Phrase বলে। যেমন— as well as, as soon as, as far as, along with, as much as ইত্যাদি.
Fahim as well as his friends has decided to leave London.
Conjunctional Phrase হলো একগুচ্ছ শব্দ (Group of words) যা বাক্যে একটি Conjunction-এর মতো কাজ করে। এটি মূলত দুটি শব্দ, শব্দসমষ্টি (Phrase) বা বাক্যকে (Clause) একে অপরের সাথে যুক্ত করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
১. মূল বৈশিষ্ট্যসমূহ:
এটি একক শব্দ নয়, বরং একাধিক শব্দের সমন্বয়।
এটি বাক্যের বিভিন্ন অংশের মধ্যে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করে।
সাধারণ Conjunction (যেমন: and, but, or)-এর মতোই এটি সংযোগ স্থাপনের কাজ করে।

৩. বাক্যে ব্যবহারের আরও কিছু উদাহরণ:
No sooner had he reached the station than the train left.
As if - He talks as if he knew everything.
Rather than - I would die rather than beg.
